About the South Atlanta Reimagined Fund

South Atlanta deserves an institution built to think across projects, funding cycles, and political terms. SARF was created to bring the community and its partners around one long-term vision, then build the capacity required to carry that vision forward.

Why South Atlanta?

South Atlanta is home to proud neighborhoods, deeply rooted families, historic institutions, creative talent, strategic transportation access, major civic assets, and extraordinary potential. It is also entering a period when public investment, private development, and market interest may reshape the area for decades.

The central question is not whether change will come. It is whether South Atlanta will have the institutional strength to shape that change, preserve what matters, expand opportunity, and ensure that investment produces lasting benefit for existing residents and future generations.

Why Now?

Important resources already move through South Atlanta, but they are often organized by separate agencies, funders, developers, and programs. Without a trusted institution responsible for coordination and long-term stewardship, individual projects can remain disconnected from a shared neighborhood strategy.

SARF is being built to fill that gap. The Fund will connect resident priorities with public leadership, philanthropy, financial institutions, corporations, nonprofits, developers, and community organizations, helping partners move from isolated activity toward shared outcomes.

Our Purpose

The South Atlanta Reimagined Fund exists to help South Atlanta shape its own revitalization. We work to build the infrastructure, capital relationships, governance, evidence, and community leadership needed to coordinate investment, protect resident stability, strengthen local institutions, and create opportunity that endures.

Core Values

Resident Leadership

Residents are not an audience to be consulted after decisions are made. Their experience and priorities must help shape the strategy.

Community Wealth

Revitalization should increase stability, ownership, local enterprise, and generational opportunity.

Preservation With Progress

South Atlanta's history, culture, identity, and community ties should be preserved as new investment is welcomed.

Accountability

Every dollar, partnership, program, and project should connect to measurable community benefit.

Partnership

No single entity can transform South Atlanta alone. Progress requires institutions to align around shared outcomes.

Long-Term Stewardship

Decisions should be guided by what will strengthen South Atlanta for decades, not only by what is easiest to fund today.
